Importing a Classic Trilogy Custom Texture into Stinky and Loof in Wonderland
Classic trilogy custom textures, such as those in the
The Return To Wonderland Level Archive, do not contain
a wall atlas and have a different naming convention for breakaway and floor tile textures. You can use the ConvertStyle
utility, along IrfanView, a free image viewer and editor,
to convert a classic trilogy custom texture to a Stinky and Loof in Wonderland custom style.
Here are the steps:
-
Download the ConvertStyle utility.
The download is a zipped folder that contains the ConvertStyle executable and supporting files.
It does not need installation other than unzipping.
-
Download and install IrfanView.
The link is to the download page for the recommended 64-bit version.
There is also a 32-bit version
available that you can download if you prefer.
-
Copy file convertStyle.bat from the directory where you installed ConvertStyle to any convenient directory,
preferably one in your path. Edit this file so that it sets the environment variables
CONVERT_STYLE_HOME and IRFANVIEW_HOME to the full path to the ConvertStyle and IrfanView executables.
-
Open a Command Prompt window by pressing Windows+R and entering the command cmd.
-
For each classic trilogy custom style you want to convert, issue the command:
convertStyle inputTextureDirectory outputStyleDirectory [-d desc.txt contents]
where:
inputTextureDirectory |
is the full path to the directory containing the classic trilogy custom
texture you want to convert
|
outputTextureDirectory |
is the full path to the directory where ConvertStyle should write
the output Stinky in Wonderland style. ConvertStyle will create
this directory if it does not exist.
|
-d desc.txt contents |
is an optional argument specifying text describing the style that
ConvertStyle can use to build the desc.txt file that's required to import the style
|
-
Zip each output directory and use the custom graphics section of the Level Editor
to import the style or styles into the game.
